CDMA
A wideband spread spectrum technique that converts analog signals into digital for transmission over the cellular network; it provides up to 10 times the capacity of the
analog network. CDMA spreads multiple conversations across a wide segment of the
broadcast spectrum; all users on a 1.25 MHz-wide channel can share the same
frequency spectrum because each user's conversation is differentiated using CDMA's
unique digital codes.
