Loop


Definition
1. Typically a complete electrical Circuit.

2. The loop is also the pair of wires that winds its way from the central office to the telephone set or system at the customer's office, home or factory, i.e. "premises" in telephones.

3. In computer software. A loop repeats a series of instructions many times until some pre-stated event has happened or until some test has been passed.
