Transparent Bridge

Acts like a station on two or more LANs; it listens to all packets on the wire, stores each received packet, and forwards it on to the other LANs when it has permission to send. To cut down on unnecessarily forwarded packets, the bridge learns the location of stations and does not forward packets that it knows it does not need to.
