Description: 065-1163FSC - Signamax Connectivity Systems’ 065-1163 series of RS-232/422/485 serial data to Ethernet media converters are the perfect answer to the problem of integrating serial data devices into a convergent Ethernet-based network. These converters accept serial data on one port in either RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 format and convert the serial data stream into Ethernet/Fast Ethernet framed and formatted packets. These packets can then be transported across an Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, or Gigabit Ethernet network to another 065-1163 series converter, which reconstructs the Ethernet packets into the original serial data bit stream. Models are available to connect serial data devices to your existing Ethernet / Fast Ethernet network over twisted-pair or fiber optic cable at distances up to 30 kilometers (over 18.6 miles).
