Boot/On/Off commands can be sent to the unit via TCP/IP network, via modem, or from a local PC connected directly to the RPC console port. Many network devices, such as Enterprise routers require up to 35 amps of -48 VDC power; the RPC-4840N supports these high-amp requirements, with capacity to spare. The RPC-4840N features a 10Base-T Ethernet port, a dedicated external modem port, password protection, on-screen circuit labels to identify connected devices, a site ID message, and a user-friendly ASCII command set.
